This policy explains how the developer of Daily GK processes information when you use the learning app, its account and synchronization features, and advertising. Contact: gkshortsapp@gmail.com.
We use information to provide content, sign-in, offline learning, synchronization, quiz scoring, progress, leaderboards, notifications, analytics and app reliability. Advertising supports the app. Relevant information is processed by our backend infrastructure and Google services, including Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Google AdMob. Advertising data may also be processed by Google's advertising partners according to the consent choices and service settings that apply.
We do not ask you to click ads, and learning features remain accessible when an ad is unavailable. Your profile name, avatar, user identifier, points and streak may appear on leaderboards visible to other users. We may disclose information when required by law or to investigate abuse, protect users or secure the service.
Google explains its practices in its Privacy Policy, advertising information, and Firebase privacy information. These providers may process information on servers outside your country.
The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to present required privacy messages and determine whether ads may be requested. Where the consent platform requires a privacy-options entry point, open Settings → Ad privacy choices to review or withdraw your advertising choices. Because the app does not collect age and its audience includes teens, it currently applies conservative under-age-of-consent settings to advertising requests for all users, requests non-personalized ads and limits ad content ratings. Google consent messages may not be presented when this treatment applies. Your device settings may also provide advertising identifier and ad-personalization controls. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent all advertising; any ads served remain subject to the consent platform's eligibility decision.
Preferences and offline content are stored locally; synchronized account and learning records are also stored on our backend. We retain information needed to operate your account and learning features until it is no longer needed or an account/data deletion request is completed. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes. Where such an exception applies to a request, contact us for the relevant details. Backups and service-provider records are subject to their retention and deletion processes.
We use HTTPS for public backend communication. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
You can request deletion of your Daily GK account and associated personal and learning data, including profile information, synchronized progress, quiz history and linked device/notification records.
The same request pathway is available in the app under Settings → Request account deletion. You do not need to reinstall the app to use the email pathway. This is a support-assisted request; opening this page or composing an email does not itself delete data.
Uninstalling clears local app storage but does not delete backend records. Deleting a Daily GK account does not delete your Google account. You can separately manage Google account access and device notification permissions in Google's or your device's settings.
Daily GK is intended for competitive-exam preparation and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address the request. Advertising and consent treatment must also follow the age and regional requirements that apply to the user.
You can change learning preferences in Settings and disable notifications through device settings. To request access, correction or deletion of account data, contact gkshortsapp@gmail.com. External information-source links are governed by those sites' own policies. We will post policy changes on this page and update its date.
